Brand Sourcing Policy
How we handle brand-specific steel procurement requirements
Our approach to brand-specific sourcing
Many institutional, EPC, and fabrication projects include approved manufacturer lists or brand specifications in their procurement requirements. Proqure fully supports brand-specific sourcing as part of our procurement execution.
What we do:
- Support brand-specific sourcing: We work with a wide supplier network to source from buyer-specified brands.
- Evaluate feasibility: We assess brand availability based on current supply conditions, lead times, and allocation constraints.
- Communicate clearly: If brand availability is constrained, we inform you promptly and transparently.
- Suggest alternatives when permitted: Where project specifications allow, we may propose equivalent BIS-compliant alternatives for your or your consultant's approval.
- Execute as per PO: Final supply is strictly as per the brand confirmed in your purchase order.
What we don't do:
- •We do not publicly promote or list brand names on our website.
- •We do not show manufacturer logos or claim partnerships that imply endorsement.
- •We do not substitute brands without explicit buyer or consultant approval.
- •We do not make "best price" claims or comparative brand statements.
Why this policy matters:
Steel procurement for institutional and project buyers often involves strict compliance with approved brand lists. Proqure respects these requirements and operates with full transparency about what can and cannot be sourced within project timelines.
Our role is to coordinate sourcing, not to influence brand selection beyond what your project specifications allow.
Key points
Brand requirements should be indicated at the RFQ stage
To ensure smooth execution, specify brand requirements when submitting your procurement need. This allows us to assess availability and provide accurate timelines upfront.
Final supply matches the purchase order
All materials are supplied exactly as per the brand and specifications confirmed in your purchase order, with test certificates provided where applicable.
Availability constraints are communicated early
If a specified brand has supply constraints, lead time delays, or allocation issues, we inform you immediately rather than creating false expectations.
Alternatives require your approval
Any suggestion of an equivalent BIS-compliant alternative is made only when permitted by your project specifications, and requires formal approval before proceeding.
